Requirements
- Formal training in statistics, mathematics, epidemiology, health economics, public health, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Health Economics, statistics, Operational Research, Mathematics, data science, biostatistics, or epidemiology preferred.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in healthcare data analysis.
- Experience in HEOR, medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, STATA, or Python.
- Strong understanding of data manipulation, regression analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with healthcare databases and coding systems including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Knowledge or experience with Medicare and Medicaid data preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex healthcare data.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large healthcare datasets using statistical techniques, including medical claims, pharmacy data, and patient registries.
- Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to assess healthcare utilization patterns, treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to design and execute HEOR studies in alignment with research objectives.
- Generate comprehensive reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate research findings effectively.
- Support business growth through the development of strong client relationships.
- Stay current with emerging trends and methodologies in HEOR to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to data privacy and regulatory guidelines for the secure handling of sensitive healthcare information.
