Requirements

  • Formal training in statistics, mathematics, epidemiology, health economics, public health, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Health Economics, statistics, Operational Research, Mathematics, data science, biostatistics, or epidemiology preferred.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in healthcare data analysis.
  • Experience in HEOR, medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors.
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, STATA, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of data manipulation, regression analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with healthcare databases and coding systems including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS.
  • Knowledge or experience with Medicare and Medicaid data preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex healthcare data.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large healthcare datasets using statistical techniques, including medical claims, pharmacy data, and patient registries.
  • Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to assess healthcare utilization patterns, treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to design and execute HEOR studies in alignment with research objectives.
  • Generate comprehensive reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate research findings effectively.
  • Support business growth through the development of strong client relationships.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and methodologies in HEOR to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to data privacy and regulatory guidelines for the secure handling of sensitive healthcare information.
