Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in healthcare data analysis (HEOR, medical device, pharma, or biotech preferred).
- Advanced degree (Master or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Health Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Biostatistics, or Epidemiology.
- Formal training in statistics, mathematics, epidemiology, health economics, or public health.
- Proficiency in statistical software (SAS, R, STATA, or Python).
- Strong understanding of data manipulation, regression analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with healthcare databases and coding systems (ICD, CPT, HCPCS).
- Experience or knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid data.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex healthcare data.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large healthcare datasets, including medical claims, pharmacy, and patient registries.
- Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to assess treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and healthcare utilization patterns.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to design and execute HEOR studies aligned with research and regulatory objectives.
- Generate comprehensive reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate research findings effectively.
- Stay current with emerging methodologies and best practices in HEOR to contribute to organizational improvement.
- Adhere to data privacy and regulatory guidelines while handling sensitive healthcare information.
