Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal virtual assistant, legal secretary, or legal administrative assistant
- Solid understanding of legal terminology, court processes, and general law firm operations
- Excellent written and spoken English with a polished, professional communication style
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive client and case information
- Must have prior remote work experience
- Fluent with remote collaboration tools and platforms (such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar)
- Ideally worked with US or UK-based law firms
Responsibilities
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule consultations, depositions, court appearances, and internal meetings
- Handle high volumes of emails and correspondence on behalf of attorneys, ensuring timely and professional responses
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, letters, and forms as directed by attorneys
- Maintain and organize digital client files and case records within the firm's case management system
- Assist with client follow-ups, reminders, and general communication throughout the case lifecycle
- Support billing and timekeeping processes by tracking attorney hours and preparing invoices
- Conduct basic legal research and compile information as assigned by supervising attorneys
- Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and vendors to obtain documents and confirmations
