Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Four years of risk consultant experience in medical malpractice.
  • Experience preparing and presenting healthcare educational offerings to physician practices, hospitals or senior living facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and provide risk management solutions.
  • Expertise in risk management data, industry trends, and thought leadership.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Capability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the dedicated consultant for risk advice to assigned clients in designated region.
  • Build relationships proactively with identified clients by offering custom services such as risk assessments, strategic risk management plans, tools and resource development or staff education.
  • Determine client needs with leadership coaching by assessing client risk profile and aligning risk strategies.
  • Organize, plan and facilitate risk assessments to identify malpractice risk exposures.
  • Produce and present educational programs to identified clients, including virtual or in-person sessions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on client needs, risk concerns, new business ventures, and retention strategies.
  • Serve as the Risk On-call consultant on a monthly rotation.
