Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in civil design, subsurface utilities engineering, and utilities mapping.
  • Expert-level ability to interpret complex utility engineering records and as-builts.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and delivery teams.
  • Ability to design and implement QAQC frameworks and data validation pipelines.
  • Proficiency in GIS and CAD tools.
  • Proficiency with project management software.
  • Proven ability to mentor and coach junior employees.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to create order out of complex, unstructured problems.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical blockers.
  • Humble, collaborative mindset with a willingness to assist in all team tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level markup, interpretation, and guidance of complex utility engineering records, as-builts, and historical plan sets.
  • Conduct rigorous QA/QC on digitized deliverables to ensure absolute accuracy before they reach the CivilGrid platform.
  • Manage and lead delivery-focused teams (Customer Success, GIS, Utilities Research, etc.) to complete utilities research projects.
  • Own the scheduling, prioritization, and resource allocation for assigned projects.
  • Mentor junior employees by sharing industry and technical knowledge.
  • Design and implement QAQC frameworks and data validation pipelines.
