Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
- 10+ years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry.
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance for highly complex system (DAL C and higher).
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Expert knowledge of quality processes including ARP-4754, RTCA DO-178C, and DO-254.
- Experience leading quality assurance audits with regulators throughout the program development lifecycle.
- Effective communication skills for regulatory-focused discussions.
- Self-driven and capable of participating in regulatory focused discussions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate corporate level QMS through business pyramid that aligns with SMS and SecMS.
- Develop company policies, operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Ensure audit process exists for compliance at company and product/program level.
- Analyze regulatory standards from FAA and foreign agencies to determine compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance at the product/program level per planning document.
- Manage teams and identify staffing needs.
- Identify and communicate company and program risks for timely resolution.
- Act as primary interface to regulatory authorities for quality assurance.
- Monitor new and novel standards relevant to the company or program.
- Manage and report assurance and certification risks for escalation.
