Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, business administration, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in supporting payroll processing in a multi-state environment.
- Familiarity with payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and federal/state/local compliance.
- Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
- Experience responding to employee payroll inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now (preferred).
- Experience with SCA (Service Contract Act) (a plus).
Responsibilities
- Administer benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
- Monitor compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and federal/state leave regulations.
- Support semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll processing, data validation, and submission.
- Maintain accurate payroll records for salaries, deductions, garnishments, and paid leave.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and assist with employee inquiries.
- Support mandatory benefits filings, annual audits, and 401k reporting.
- Coordinate open enrollment processes and maintain benefits policies.
