Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting payroll processing in a multi-state environment.
  • Familiarity with payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and federal/state/local compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
  • Experience responding to employee payroll inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now (preferred).
  • Experience with SCA (Service Contract Act) (a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Administer benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Monitor compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and federal/state leave regulations.
  • Support semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll processing, data validation, and submission.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records for salaries, deductions, garnishments, and paid leave.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and assist with employee inquiries.
  • Support mandatory benefits filings, annual audits, and 401k reporting.
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes and maintain benefits policies.
