Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
- 4+ years of accounting experience.
- Demonstrated technical accounting knowledge and analytical abilities.
- Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proven experience with month-end closing and budgeting/forecasting.
- High degree of proficiency in Excel and accounting software systems.
- Financial reporting and analysis proficiency.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPA designation is a plus.
- Renewable Energy or carbon credit experience is preferred.
- BOLO software experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, financial statements, and bank reconciliations.
- Perform regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement.
- Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll, cash management, and system maintenance.
- Collaborate with management to deliver reporting on financial data analytics, capital allocations, and budget vs. actual spend.
- Oversee cash forecasts, capital calls, and distributions in accordance with GAAP.
- Respond to ad hoc compliance requests from investors, auditors, and stakeholders.
- Design and implement process improvements to enhance the integrity and timeliness of month-end close.
