Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with modern accounting software and financial management systems.
- Executive-level professionalism.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent customer service and client communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage full-cycle accounting and client engagements for multiple nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
- Lead the month-end close process within 5–7 business days, maintaining an error rate of less than 1–2% in financial reports.
- Prepare accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, regulatory compliance, and internal control improvements.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, responding to inquiries within 24 hours.
- Review the work of Staff Accountants and provide mentorship.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
