Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in finance operations roles in non-profit or high-growth start-up environments.
- Understanding of non-profit and multi-entity accounting, including restricted funds and GAAP compliance.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping and hands-on QuickBooks Online experience.
- Advanced knowledge and experience using Excel / Google Sheets.
- Ability to operate with high agency and navigate ambiguity.
- Comfort with AI tools and automation for financial processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- For Manager level: 3+ years of relevant experience, including end-to-end close cycles and managing external auditor relationships.
- Professional level English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Review payment requests and disburse payments including honorariums, reimbursements, per diems, and invoices.
- Manage vendor and contractor payment workflow and maintain finance procedure documentation.
- Oversee credit card operations, ensuring compliance with expense policies.
- Keep books accurate in QuickBooks Online, including journal entries and close cycles.
- Coordinate with external accountants and manage restricted/unrestricted fund tracking.
- Prepare allocations and schedules for audited financial statements and Form 990.
- Own financial SOPs and support internal controls.
- Manage relationships with external CPA firms (Manager level) and evaluate software migrations.
