Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct ownership of the financial close.
- Experience in a multi-entity/multi-currency environment.
- Prior experience managing or mentoring staff.
- Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, specifically fixed assets (ASC 350-40), prepaids, and accruals.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle or a comparable ERP environment.
- Demonstrated ability to redesign manual processes and improve system utilization.
- Strong internal controls orientation.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coach two Senior Accountants responsible for fixed assets, parts inventory, prepaid expenses, and monthly accruals.
- Improve fixed asset and parts inventory accounting processes by reducing manual Oracle workflows and enhancing internal controls.
- Oversee prepaid expense schedules, accruals, and the monthly financial close cycle.
- Serve as the primary accounting liaison to FP&A and business operations to align on forecasts, accruals, and operational processes.
- Lead the integration of Canadian accounting operations into the team's scope.
- Support external audit coordination and maintain accounting policy documentation.
