Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a medical provider or billing firm environment.
- Experience within the US Healthcare Industry.
- Proven experience with Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Expertise in data entry for modifiers and payer-specific information.
- Proficiency with authorization criteria, CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong aptitude for quick learning.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to internal and external requests for information.
- Enter charges from superbills and demographic reports accurately.
- Input modifiers and payer-specific information including CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes.
- Process, reconcile, and close charge batches across all systems.
- Track and follow up on information requests to and from the practice.
- Achieve supervisor goals for error-free work, processes, and compliance.
- Perform payment posting and claims processing.
- Handle patient phone calls professionally.
