Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting policy development, governance, or compliance activities within a federal IT or information-sharing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks, including FISMA, privacy requirements, and data governance practices.
- Experience supporting complex projects, organizational change, or transformation efforts within government environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance or public trust eligibility.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable adapting quickly, receiving feedback, and implementing improvements in evolving environments.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of engagement agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), and other governance-related policy documents.
- Draft, update, and revise governance materials, including charters, standard operating procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain governance documentation, compliance artifacts, and tracking dashboards to support program oversight.
- Assist in designing and maintaining governance models and matrices covering information security, privacy, content management, and user-access management.
- Support compliance efforts by helping ensure alignment with applicable legal, policy, and regulatory requirements, including FISMA, privacy, and data governance standards.
- Communicate policy and governance information clearly to stakeholders based on leadership guidance.
- Assist with meetings and communications involving advisory groups, steering committees, working groups, and governance bodies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions.
- Manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
