Requirements

  • Strong experience building backend applications with Ruby on Rails in large-scale production environments.
  • Professional experience developing backend or infrastructure-oriented services using Go.
  • Proven ability to lead architecture across multiple systems and influence engineering decisions.
  • Experience writing technical proposals, design documents, and decision records in documentation-focused environments.
  • Strong security mindset with experience building products where trust, risk reduction, and secure defaults are essential.
  • Familiarity with software supply chain security concepts such as artifact signing, build provenance, dependency security, software bill of materials (SBOM), or security scanning approaches.
  • Experience designing and operating scalable distributed systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams across engineering and product functions.
  • Strong mentoring skills and experience supporting the growth of other engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the technical architecture for software supply chain security capabilities, including package policy enforcement, provenance generation, artifact signing, and malicious package detection.
  • Design and implement backend services supporting secure software delivery workflows and enterprise-scale security requirements.
  • Lead the development of capabilities aligned with software supply chain security standards, including SLSA Level 2 and Level 3 practices.
  • Architect integrations with security ecosystems and services for signing, verification, trust management, and secure workflows.
  • Build reliable backend systems supporting package allow, deny, and quarantine policies with strong performance and scalability.
  • Review code contributions with a focus on security, architectural consistency, maintainability, and engineering quality.
  • Mentor backend engineers by providing technical guidance, design feedback, and support for professional growth.
  • Collaborate with teams across infrastructure, authentication, authorization, CI/CD, and security to make cross-functional technical decisions.
  • Contribute to open-source initiatives and industry discussions related to software supply chain security.
