Requirements
- Proven experience building production backend systems with strong Ruby on Rails expertise.
- Working knowledge of Go or the ability and willingness to quickly develop proficiency in Go-based systems.
- Strong API design skills, including experience with REST, GraphQL, and defining scalable service boundaries.
- Solid PostgreSQL experience, including database design, query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance considerations.
- Experience using Redis for caching, coordination, or distributed system patterns.
- Strong understanding of secure software engineering principles, including trust boundaries, validation, and failure handling.
- Familiarity with software supply chain security concepts such as SLSA, SBOMs, artifact signing, security scanning, or related technologies.
- Interest in complex engineering domains such as policy engines, package ecosystems, platform security, and DevSecOps solutions.
- Ability to design maintainable, scalable systems while balancing technical quality with customer and business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend capabilities supporting software supply chain security, including policy enforcement, artifact signing and verification, provenance workflows, and security integrations.
- Develop and improve package policy evaluation systems, including rule processing, request matching, enforcement decisions, and performance optimization.
- Build artifact signing and verification workflows using modern security approaches, including cryptographic signing, key management, and trusted software delivery practices.
- Create and maintain backend APIs and configuration systems that enable enterprise security teams to define and manage supply chain requirements.
- Integrate security capabilities with broader platform frameworks, improving policy management, automation, and customer workflows.
- Collaborate with teams across security, infrastructure, and product areas to deliver cohesive solutions for evolving customer needs.
- Write and maintain comprehensive automated testing, including unit, integration, and reliability-focused test coverage.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions while maintaining secure engineering standards.
