Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of compliance experience in property & casualty insurance.
- Experience in both Admitted and Excess & Surplus lines basis.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Legal degree preferred).
- Deep knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements in the P+C space.
- Ability to analyze complex regulations and develop solutions to balance risks with business goals.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to take initiative on compliance projects.
- Methodical and diligent approach to executing compliance obligations.
- Sound judgment and high ethical standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in commercial auto insurance segments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Resolve complex regulatory compliance matters through research and decision-making.
- Monitor legislative changes, communicate impact, and design risk mitigation solutions.
- Develop and enhance compliance policies and procedures for core and new business initiatives.
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to evaluate policy adherence.
- Manage insurance producer and entity licensing, appointments, and commission gatekeeping.
- Lead the preparation of responses to consumer complaints from regulators and consumers.
- Oversee corporate governance, secretary of state obligations, and entity maintenance.
- Facilitate compliance training programs and prepare materials for audits and investigations.
