Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of compliance experience in property & casualty insurance.
  • Experience in both Admitted and Excess & Surplus lines basis.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Legal degree preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements in the P+C space.
  • Ability to analyze complex regulations and develop solutions to balance risks with business goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to take initiative on compliance projects.
  • Methodical and diligent approach to executing compliance obligations.
  • Sound judgment and high ethical standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in commercial auto insurance segments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve complex regulatory compliance matters through research and decision-making.
  • Monitor legislative changes, communicate impact, and design risk mitigation solutions.
  • Develop and enhance compliance policies and procedures for core and new business initiatives.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to evaluate policy adherence.
  • Manage insurance producer and entity licensing, appointments, and commission gatekeeping.
  • Lead the preparation of responses to consumer complaints from regulators and consumers.
  • Oversee corporate governance, secretary of state obligations, and entity maintenance.
  • Facilitate compliance training programs and prepare materials for audits and investigations.
