Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience in a public practice environment.
- Experience with New Zealand or Australian compliance frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of annual compliance workflows.
- Ability to perform complex financial reconciliations.
- Proven proficiency in Xero and Xero Practice Manager.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Undergraduate/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or active progress toward a professional qualification.
- Strong client-service mindset for relationship management.
- High level of accountability and ability to manage strict deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate complex residential lending scenarios including PAYG, self-employed, company, trust, and SMSF applications.
- Review and verify tax returns, financial statements, Business Activity Statements (BAS), and supporting documentation.
- Analyze borrowing capacity, liabilities, expenses, and credit histories for risk evaluation.
- Research lender policies and collaborate with Business Development Managers to recommend suitable lending solutions.
- Prepare credit recommendations and scenario summaries to assist with loan structuring.
- Conduct pre-submission quality assurance checks to ensure file accuracy and readiness.
