Requirements
- Deep backend engineering experience with cloud-native SaaS platforms.
- Strong, production-proven experience in Scala.
- Experience with Python or TypeScript.
- Deep expertise in using AI coding agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
- Ability to critically review AI-generated code for security and architectural integrity.
- Builder mindset with a preference for technical execution over administrative tasks.
- Exceptional English communication skills (written and spoken).
- High-agency leadership style with direct responsibility for team output.
- Strong product empathy and focus on user-centric platform improvements.
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality backend code and address complex technical challenges directly.
- Guide technical direction using Scala, Python, and TypeScript.
- Implement and advocate for AI coding agents to multiply team velocity.
- Own feature lifecycles from design to production deployment in multi-tenant environments.
- Coach engineers through pair programming and rigorous code reviews.
- Partner with Product Managers to refine requirements and execute on team milestones.
- Ensure system health, security, and performance for all production deployments.
