Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of work experience in NERC compliance and the electric regulatory industry.
- Proven experience with NERC O&P and CIP Reliability Standards.
- Working knowledge of CAISO, ERCOT, CPUC, and PUCT regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in project management and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a remote work environment.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring compliance professionals is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance for NERC O&P compliance activities (GO) covering standards applicable to renewable utility scale PV/BESS plants.
- Manage PRC maintenance/testing programs, coordinate relay/AVR setting validation, oversee model data validations, and implement voltage/VAR schedule compliance.
- Support NERC CIP obligations including system classification, governance, incident response, and access controls.
- Monitor regulatory requirements and support technical SMEs during the implementation of new or revised standards.
- Lead regulatory filings, self-reports, and attestations, including coordination with outside counsel and consultants.
- Design and manage internal assessments, investigate potential noncompliance, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver compliance training for plant staff and operations personnel.
- Collect Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs) and manage the internal audit preparation process.
