Requirements
- 5+ years managing software, platform engineering, or SRE teams.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, platform tooling, and cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity authorization processes such as ATO, FedRAMP, or continuous monitoring requirements.
- Experience with DevSecOps tooling, software supply chain security concepts, or compliance automation.
- Knowledge of monetization models for open source software.
- Experience establishing a clear product roadmap and value proposition.
- Proficiency with backlog and project management tools such as Linear, Jira, GitHub Projects, or GitLab.
- Experience working in agile software development environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the product vision end-to-end and be accountable for delivering outcomes across software vendors, government evaluators, and platform operators.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, including career development and performance management.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing customer, business, and technical priorities.
- Synthesize external customer requests, government requirements, and compliance obligations into a coherent product roadmap.
- Build and maintain alignment with the Growth team on roadmap, value proposition, and customer needs.
- Adapt product strategy and roadmap to accomplish company objectives and respond to shifts in the DoD authorization landscape.
- Collaborate with engineering and design to evaluate tradeoffs between roadmap priorities and engineering effort.
- Participate in customer-facing engagements, communicating product value and gathering feedback.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and drive prioritization and value delivery across the team.
