Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a technology-related field.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- 4+ years in engineering leadership roles managing multiple technical teams.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architecture.
- Proven experience leading development on a high-transaction SaaS platform.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Strong command of API design principles, REST, and GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go, .NET).
- Experience working in regulated environments with strict data access controls.
- Demonstrated success with agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong communication and executive presence for cross-functional alignment.
- Ability to travel approximately 10-20% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 10+ software engineers across multiple PODs.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery across all phases of the SDLC, from design to production deployment.
- Champion an AI-first engineering culture, integrating AI-driven tooling and automation.
- Establish and track engineering and DORA metrics to improve team health and delivery performance.
- Participate in architectural decisions regarding microservices, event-driven systems, and API strategy.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Proactively manage competing priorities and communicate status updates to leadership.
