- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and maintain professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple member requests.
- Self-motivated and capable of working productively in a remote environment.
- Ability to work from a private, distraction-free, and HIPAA-compliant home office.
- Wired high-speed internet connection (minimum 200 Mbps download/100 Mbps upload).
- Adaptable and willing to participate in training to build expertise in healthcare plans and regulations.
- Commitment to meeting quality and productivity expectations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to members by handling incoming calls and explaining healthcare benefits, services, and provider options.
- Resolve member issues by identifying needs, researching information, and determining appropriate next steps or referrals.
- Coordinate follow-up by making outbound calls to complete research or deliver status updates.
- Maintain accurate member demographic records within the system.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and COBRA guidelines.
- Collaborate across teams by transferring inquiries to appropriate internal or external contacts.
