Requirements
- 4+ years of professional electrical engineering design experience in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Valid Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial, manufacturing, or medical facilities.
- Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including standby/emergency power and interactive generator controls.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit.
- Experience working independently, managing priorities, and mentoring junior staff.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience in load planning, programming, Protective Device Coordination, Arc Flash studies, and Medium Voltage equipment selection.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems and perform detailed design calculations.
- Review, sign, and seal engineering projects.
- Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and prepare record drawings.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and participate in project commissioning.
- Write and edit electrical equipment specifications and select systems and devices.
- Ensure projects are delivered accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
