- 5+ years of experience as an engineer in an electrical engineering design role; 2+ years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy system design engineering
- Required Skills
- AutoCAD
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or another engineering field with extensive electrical coursework.
- 5+ years of experience as an engineer in an electrical engineering design role.
- 2+ years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy system design engineering.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with NEC and other relevant electrical codes and standards.
- Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard procedures and criteria.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Efficient time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or EIT Certificate is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create electrical engineering plans, details, and calculations for renewable energy and substation projects.
- Independently provide design drawings including one-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, cable schedules, wiring diagrams, grounding, and conduit details.
- Create equipment specifications for PV solar modules, inverters, BESS, and transformers.
- Lead multiple projects and act as Engineer of Record when required.
- Assign tasks and direct discipline team members to complete assignments.
- Provide mentoring for staff engineers.
- Support client interaction for multiple projects in a single portfolio.
