Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar applicable work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD.
- 2+ years of solar PV systems or energy storage system design.
- Ability to integrate design considerations from civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering disciplines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and accurate with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering documentation.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems through analytical and creative thinking.
Responsibilities
- Create sheet sets and perform design work for multiple engineering disciplines supporting renewable energy and substation projects.
- Acquire and apply knowledge of renewable energy system layouts and components such as modules, racking, inverters, and Balance of Systems (BOS).
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes.
- Manage time efficiently across multiple projects.
- Coordinate with clients and project managers on their expectations.
- Work on or lead small projects or portions of larger projects in preparation of drawings and engineering documentation.
- Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments.
