Requirements

  • 7+ years of quota-carrying SaaS, healthcare technology, or clinical education technology sales experience.
  • Proven track record selling into academic institutions such as nursing schools, medical schools, or academic health systems.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder, consultative sales cycles, including multi-year agreements.
  • Strong understanding of academic decision-making structures.
  • Experience with outbound pipeline generation and managing long, structured sales cycles.
  • Excellent discovery, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Strong CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%, including conferences and campus visits.
  • Preferred: experience in clinical simulation or healthcare training platforms.
  • Preferred: familiarity with academic procurement processes and accreditation frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver new business quota across nursing schools, medical schools, universities, and academic health systems.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, and industry events.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to expand market presence.
  • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles from outreach through contract signature.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to translate academic and simulation needs into tailored proposals.
  • Build business cases demonstrating educational impact and institutional ROI.
  • Navigate procurement, IT review, and contracting processes within university systems.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM reporting.
  • Represent the organization at academic conferences and industry gatherings.
