Requirements
- 8–10 years of professional experience in a senior leadership role.
- Experience managing large-scale programs or divisions.
- Prior experience leading work within a State Education Agency is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success driving implementation of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Track record of producing measurable improvements in student outcomes.
- Experience managing grant relationships, setting performance expectations, and supporting partners.
- Ability to build trust with diverse state and district leaders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to translate evidence and data into actionable guidance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Lead engagement with a portfolio of 4–6 states through the State Implementation Fund as primary relationship manager.
- Contribute substantive input to state program strategy and organizational planning.
- Translate organizational strategy into actionable program plans, managing timelines and deliverables.
- Identify and address implementation barriers by connecting states to resources, evidence, and peer learning.
- Monitor and analyze legislation and policy issues affecting state program partners.
- Represent Accelerate externally with state-level stakeholders and education leaders.
- Partner with the CEO and peer leadership to ensure program alignment with mission and strategic priorities.
