Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Significant post-qualification experience.
- Experience with UK Charity SORP and production of annual reports and accounts.
- Experience managing a team within a distributed global structure.
- Experience managing multi-donor funded organizational budgets and grants.
- Expertise in restricted vs. unrestricted funding and full cost recovery models.
- Experience with multi-currency management and sub-grant processes.
- Strong communication skills for presenting financial information to non-finance specialists.
- Ability to support Senior Leadership Teams and Boards on financial strategy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual financial statements and audited accounts for the charity and its trading subsidiary.
- Manage the annual organizational budget process, including multi-year plans and scenario modeling.
- Oversee month-end accounting, payroll, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.
- Produce donor-specific financial reports and ensure restricted/unrestricted fund tracking.
- Liaise with the Audit and Finance Committee and support the Board with financial KPIs and dashboards.
- Maintain financial policies, internal controls, and risk management procedures.
- Provide technical financial advice and business partnering to non-finance staff.
