Requirements
- Hands-on experience in application security and secure software development in cloud-native environments.
- Deep expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, and container security.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Proven experience driving SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance from design to audit.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and delegating to security engineering personnel.
- Ability to read code, review APIs, and architect secure systems.
- Experience implementing security tooling such as SAST, DAST, and secrets detection.
- Familiarity with cloud detection platforms like CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
- Experience with Atlassian products including Jira and Confluence.
- Willingness to engage with AI and LLM tools in daily workflows.
- Strong communication skills for explaining risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead application security across the product portfolio including threat modeling, secure design reviews, and code-review support.
- Embed security into the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines by building and tuning tools like SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and secret detection.
- Implement policy-as-code and pre-merge gates within Terraform and Terragrunt pipelines.
- Manage cloud security posture across AWS and Kubernetes including IAM, network design, and encryption.
- Build and tune cloud detections and serve as the technical security lead for product and cloud incidents.
- Drive SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance programs, control design, evidence automation, and auditor liaison.
- Support sales and customer trust by completing security questionnaires and handling audit assessments.
- Manage, mentor, and develop an internal Security Engineer.
