Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, DevSecOps, or cloud security.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes security in production.
- Deep understanding of secure SDLC practices and CI/CD security integration.
- Ability to review and work with application code and APIs for remediation.
- Experience with SAST, DAST, container scanning, and secrets management.
- Proven experience with SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 compliance programs.
- Knowledge of IAM, network security, encryption, and cloud posture management.
- Experience with incident response and security monitoring tools.
- Leadership experience mentoring or managing security engineers.
- Proficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
Responsibilities
- Lead application security efforts including threat modeling, secure design reviews, and vulnerability remediation.
- Design and maintain secure SDLC practices by embedding security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and manage security tooling and policy-as-code controls using Terraform/Terragrunt.
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across applications, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
- Own cloud security configuration across AWS and Kubernetes environments.
- Develop detection and response capabilities using CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
- Drive SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance programs and audit coordination.
- Support customer trust initiatives through security questionnaires and audit responses.
- Manage and mentor an internal Security Engineer.
