Requirements

  • 12+ years of professional engineering experience, including recent hands-on development.
  • Depth in at least three of: embedded/IoT, backend services, cloud infrastructure (AWS), event-driven architectures, mobile, and data platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to shape technical direction at the organizational level through shipping systems and tooling.
  • Strong point of view on agentic development with experience using AI coding tools beyond personal productivity.
  • Experience building scaffolding, skills, or infrastructure to guide AI agents toward correct output.
  • Product-engineering mindset with a proven track record of launching features and owning user outcomes.
  • Ability to influence experienced engineers through technical output and clear reasoning rather than positional authority.
  • Experience in healthcare, IoT, or regulated environments (HIPAA, PHI, safety-critical systems) is a plus.
  • Background in computer vision, ML pipelines, radar, or real-time inference systems is a plus.
  • Experience with Databricks or similar data platform infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product expansion into new markets, determining generalized solutions versus new builds by implementing both.
  • Build production systems across the full stack, including embedded/IoT, TypeScript/Node.js backend services, AWS cloud infrastructure, Kafka, mobile, and Databricks data platform.
  • Develop agentic development infrastructure, skills, and validation pipelines to ensure AI-generated code is architecturally correct, secure, and resilient.
  • Proactively identify and address technical bottlenecks by creating urgency and building scalable architectural paths.
  • Coach engineers through architectural decisions, design pairing, and substantive code reviews.
  • Drive product outcomes by balancing technical rigor with the need to ship meaningful features to care environments.
