Requirements
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or SaaS/tech environment.
- Solid understanding of IFRS and accrual-basis accounting.
- Proficiency with Xero or a comparable cloud accounting platform.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems independently.
- Proven track record of meeting strict month-end close deadlines.
- AI-first mindset with an active interest in automation and tool-building.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- CPA, CPA candidate, or equivalent designation in progress is a strong asset.
- Experience with payroll processing or commissions is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash balances across all entities.
- Perform bank matching and Xero reconciliations.
- Manage payment setup, including AP, contractor, and affiliate payments.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and revenue reclasses.
- Manage the multi-entity intercompany allocation model.
- Prepare variance analysis and comment clearing for all entities monthly.
- Support quarterly GST/sales tax filing and annual audit processes.
- Develop and implement AI-assisted workflows and automated reporting tools.
