Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to research issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with internal controls, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and management reports for assigned business units.
- Perform bank account and general ledger reconciliations to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Research accounting issues and investigate errors to provide resolutions.
- Review, test, and validate accounting impacts associated with system changes.
- Prepare balance sheet and operating results analyses, including variance reporting.
- Support business, finance, and actuarial teams with financial and accounting-related requests.
- Assist in the preparation of state and regulatory filings and documentation.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
