- MD or DO degree.
- Fellowship-trained and board-certified in Medical Oncology.
- Valid state medical license in good standing.
- Willingness to obtain medical licensure in all 50 states.
- Minimum of 2 years independent oncology-related clinical practice experience post-fellowship.
- Broad expertise across a range of cancers.
- Proficient telehealth skills, including video, audio, and asynchronous messaging.
- Experience using electronic health records and digital telehealth tools.
- Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- High ethical standards and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations, develop treatment and management plans, deliver direct care, and collaborate with local clinicians.
- Assess patients with cancer screening abnormalities and facilitate cancer diagnosis in collaboration with the primary care team.
- Determine guideline-based oncology and symptom treatment plans, identify treatment locations, and manage referrals to local care teams.
- Educate patients on treatment options, clinical trials, and potential risks, and assist with clinical decision-making.
- Assess and manage oncology and treatment-related symptoms via virtual settings.
- Develop clinical protocols and best practices in collaboration with care advocates, nurses, and high-risk counselors.
- Provide empathetic, patient-centered care and establish trust-based relationships.
- Participate in care team sessions to monitor progress and maintain thorough encounter documentation.
