Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in sales, key account management, or national account leadership roles.
  • 2+ years of direct ownership of national or key retail accounts with C-suite or HQ-level engagement.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing complex retail partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial deal-making skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience working in consultative sales environments and building value-based propositions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and performance data.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute national account strategies focused on expanding presence within convenience store and chain retail channels.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiating contracts with major national and regional accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key retail partners to drive long-term collaboration and growth.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable commercial terms aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and category performance to refine sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure effective execution of trade programs and product availability.
  • Track account performance metrics, analyze sales data, and provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Serve as the primary advocate for the brand across all national account interactions, ensuring consistent positioning and execution.
