Requirements

  • Must be a recent graduate of Ross University School of Medicine.
  • Must have an M.D. degree and have completed all clinical rotations.
  • Must have graduated within twelve months prior to the start date.
  • Must have first attempt passing scores on USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK.
  • Satisfactory or better grades in all activities undertaken as an RUSM student.
  • Strong teaching or tutoring skills and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Commitment to work until June 2027.
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week on average, including evenings or weekends if necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior faculty in all areas of board preparation and academic success support for students.
  • Deliver individualized tutoring and schedule regular individual academic advising sessions.
  • Present NBME MCQ reviews in large-group tutoring sessions.
  • Provide mentorship to clinical students and maintain close communication regarding performance.
  • Support large group interactive learning activities under the guidance of the Academic Student Support Coordinator.
  • Create student academic resources such as presentations, videos, and electronic materials.
  • Engage in weekly Step 1 progress support outreach and act as a point of contact for student questions.
