Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in energy settlements, scheduling, compliance, market operations, or planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in ISO and bilateral wholesale electricity market settlements (desired).
  • Understanding of CAISO energy market and charge codes (preferred).
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, or SAS (a plus).
  • Must be able to work at a desk and on a computer for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

  • Manage CAISO settlement processes for assigned charge codes including validating statements and resolving disputes.
  • Review and validate bilateral counterparty settlements for Power Purchase Agreements including wind, solar, and energy storage.
  • Develop and maintain settlement templates and spreadsheets for contract portfolios.
  • Validate transactions for energy, Resource Adequacy capacity, and Renewable Energy Credits.
  • Provide accurate accruals and data to Finance and support audit efforts.
  • Analyze settlement and Congestion Revenue Rights data to identify trends and influence optimization strategies.
  • Communicate analytical findings to leadership and the Risk Management Team.
