Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in energy settlements, scheduling, compliance, market operations, or planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
- Experience in ISO and bilateral wholesale electricity market settlements (desired).
- Understanding of CAISO energy market and charge codes (preferred).
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, or SAS (a plus).
- Must be able to work at a desk and on a computer for prolonged periods.
Responsibilities
- Manage CAISO settlement processes for assigned charge codes including validating statements and resolving disputes.
- Review and validate bilateral counterparty settlements for Power Purchase Agreements including wind, solar, and energy storage.
- Develop and maintain settlement templates and spreadsheets for contract portfolios.
- Validate transactions for energy, Resource Adequacy capacity, and Renewable Energy Credits.
- Provide accurate accruals and data to Finance and support audit efforts.
- Analyze settlement and Congestion Revenue Rights data to identify trends and influence optimization strategies.
- Communicate analytical findings to leadership and the Risk Management Team.
