Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience shipping production code (Python, TypeScript, Node).
- Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals including API design, system architecture, testing, debugging, and CI/CD.
- Demonstrated experience running end-to-end technical engagements from POC through to production deployment.
- Strong communication skills and executive presence for interactions with C-level stakeholders.
- Ability to have strong opinions loosely held and thrive in ambiguous environments.
- Strong understanding of Twilio products, SaaS market dynamics, cloud computing, Gen AI, CRM, CDP, or CPaaS.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and work collaboratively.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering successful results.
- Experience in forward deployed engineering, technical presales, or solution engineering is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical engagements end-to-end, scoping solution architecture in POC workshops, designing production systems, and driving engagement through to live launch.
- Write and ship production code (Python, TypeScript, Node) directly in customer codebases, handling API design, integration, observability, and testing.
- Architect solutions that pass customer Infosec, security, and Architecture Review Board (ARB) reviews.
- Lead customer hackathons and builder activation events to accelerate adoption of new solutions.
- Build and maintain reusable technical assets like reference implementations, starter apps, SDKs, and engineering guides.
- Partner with Enterprise Architects and Demo Platform Engineering to turn reference architectures into deployable, extensible code.
- Evangelize Twilio within B2B builder communities to drive new POCs and demos.
- Synthesize field insights from production deployments to inform R&D of product improvements.
