Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- 8+ years of directly related experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience at an AM Law 100 firm.
- 4+ years of experience as an in-house counsel.
- Must be admitted to practice, or have Bar membership, in the state of residence.
- Extensive experience reviewing and drafting CDA, MSA, and SOW agreements.
- Ability to work during EST or CST business hours.
- Demonstrated sound legal and business judgment.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a simple and actionable manner.
- Experience in Pharma or Medical device preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently draft, review, negotiate, and manage both in-house and third-party contracts, including distribution, R&D, manufacturing, supply, SaaS, clinical trial, and consulting agreements.
- Draft contract language de novo to address business needs and mitigate risk.
- Identify legal issues and business risks and communicate them to internal decision-makers.
- Serve as legal contracts representative for cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality, IT, HR, and Finance.
- Manage, maintain, and enhance the company’s contract management system.
- Train and guide business teams on contract templates and best practices.
- Develop and implement new Legal Department contracting policies and procedures.
