Requirements
- 2+ years of experience hitting or exceeding large sales quotas in the K-12 EdTech space.
- Proven experience building a book of business from scratch with high-volume district sales.
- Demonstrated ability as a strategic territory manager with executive presence.
- Experience using AI tools for efficiency and productivity.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time to meet with customers.
- Strong grasp of K-12 pedagogy or prior experience as an ELA or Social Studies teacher/instructional coach is preferred.
- Experience selling K-12 EdTech in Texas is preferred.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle within a regional territory to drive new business growth.
- Develop territory business plans and evaluate funding landscapes to align sales strategies with district initiatives.
- Build and nurture relationships with school district leaders and key decision-makers.
- Deliver presentations and negotiate terms to secure agreements for Newsela products.
- Perform pipeline management, forecasting, and lead generation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale the national sales organization.
