Requirements
- Active RN licensure with commitment to compliance standards.
- Compact Licensure required; additional state licenses may be necessary.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical nursing, clinical research, or medical communications.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other EMR systems.
- Strong analytical capabilities and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a clinical team.
- BSN or equivalent degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Autonomously evaluate flagged abnormal, urgent, or critical lab findings for patient communication.
- Proactively contact patients to discuss lab outcomes while adhering to legal scope of practice.
- Implement patient education initiatives regarding lab result significance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of communications in patient progress notes.
- Escalate questions beyond RN scope to licensed providers and manage result delivery.
- Address lab-related escalations from the Member Services Team.
- Liaise with the Clinical Conduct Team to resolve issues with lab result discrepancies.
