Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Current admission to the California State Bar.
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
- At least one year of experience defending tort claims.
- Proficiency in preparing pleadings and motions.
- Experience propounding and responding to discovery.
- Ability to take and defend depositions.
- Courtroom experience and ability to argue motions.
- Experience attending mediations and arbitrations.
- Exceptional communication and advocacy skills.
- Client-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently.
Responsibilities
- Manage a variety of litigation matters involving wrongful death, catastrophic injury, construction, and business disputes from inception to resolution.
- Draft legal pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Propound and respond to discovery requests.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Argue motions in court and attend mediations and arbitrations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
- Manage a caseload independently while collaborating with team members.
