Requirements
- 5+ years of sophisticated commercial, construction, or related litigation experience.
- Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters from beginning to end.
- Strong motion practice, deposition, and courtroom experience.
- Second-chair trial experience required.
- Experience representing sophisticated commercial, government, contractor, or institutional clients.
- Background with a nationally recognized or highly respected regional law firm.
- Minimum of 3 years with a Top 200 or similarly respected law firm.
- Senior Associate, Counsel, or Partner-level experience.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and client communication skills.
- Juris Doctor from a well-regarded law school.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Handle sophisticated commercial, construction, and government-related disputes in state and federal courts.
- Develop litigation strategy, draft dispositive motions, and prepare persuasive legal arguments.
- Lead depositions, motion practice, evidentiary hearings, and trial preparation.
- Serve as second chair at trial with opportunities for first-chair responsibilities.
- Prepare and examine witnesses and develop trial strategy.
- Build relationships with sophisticated clients as their primary legal advisor.
- Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff.
- Support business development initiatives and strengthen client relationships.
