  • Hands-on experience navigating mainstream EMR/EHR platforms.
  • Experience with cloud-based VoIP phone systems such as RingCentral or Dialpad.
  • Proficiency with digital scheduling calendars.
  • Strong knowledge of health insurance terminology, verification, prior authorizations, copays, and deductibles.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality regulations.
  • Dedicated quiet, secure home office workspace.
  • High-speed internet connection and a reliable computer headset.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming patient calls, address inquiries, and route urgent clinical matters.
  • Conduct outbound calls for appointment confirmations and scheduling follow-ups.
  • Manage alternative communication channels including email, secure text, and patient portals.
  • Register new patients and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
  • Upload and catalog intake forms, referrals, and external medical records.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments to maximize clinic efficiency.
  • Manage clinic waitlists to fill scheduling gaps.
  • Perform insurance verification checks and communicate estimated out-of-pocket costs to patients.
