Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in business development or technical sales within electric utilities, T&D, or heavy industrial power systems
- Proven track record of closing multi-million-dollar capital equipment deals in complex B2B environments
- Strong understanding of transmission & distribution systems, substation design, utility procurement processes, and grid infrastructure projects
- Experience selling or working with MV/HV electrical equipment, reactive power compensation, or substation technologies strongly preferred
- Ability to manage long and complex sales cycles while engaging technical and executive stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Electrical Engineering preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic business development initiatives across utility and heavy industrial markets, identifying and advancing large-scale capital projects such as substations, transmission upgrades, and grid modernization programs
- Develop and manage executive-level relationships with utilities, EPC firms, industrial clients, and engineering stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on power systems and grid solutions
- Influence early-stage project specifications by positioning technical solutions at the pre-design phase in collaboration with internal engineering teams
- Manage a long-cycle sales pipeline (6–36 months), including forecasting, opportunity tracking, and territory reporting
- Support RFP/RFQ responses, lead commercial negotiations, and contribute to win strategies and competitive positioning
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and infrastructure investments to identify new business opportunities and inform strategy
