Requirements
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in military, disaster response, emergency management, or first responder fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven record of personnel management experience including recruiting, managing, and training employees and volunteers.
- Proficiency with technology tools for remote communication and coordination.
- Solid knowledge of incident command systems and operations planning/mobilization.
- Ability to work a flexible, non-traditional schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Must possess reliable transportation for required local travel.
- Ability to complete at least 25% non-local travel within the assigned territory.
- Experience leading volunteers is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned branch budget, resource allocation, and financial goals.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop assigned staff members.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development for volunteer leaders.
- Coordinate and manage disaster response operations, deployments, and logistics.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with donors, partners, and volunteers.
- Organize and participate in disaster response training and simulations.
- Support department needs during surges to address operational gaps.
