Requirements
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required
- Active State Pharmacy Technician registration
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Experience with medication refill management, claim adjudication, and insurance troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts between 7:00am–7:00pm EST
- Must have a dedicated home workstation and high-speed internet connection
- Capacity to maintain a quiet, distraction-free workspace
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound pharmacy calls and conduct proactive outbound refill and engagement calls in English and Spanish
- Educate and guide patients through the end-to-end medication refill process
- Coordinate prescription refills, including data entry and pharmacy claim adjudication
- Perform prescription status checks and resolve adjudication or coverage issues
- Serve as a liaison between patients, pharmacists, clinicians, payors, and internal support teams
- Communicate with pharmacists and clinicians to clarify prescriptions and resolve discrepancies
- Identify medications requiring special handling and ensure proper protocols
- Accurately document and maintain patient, prescription, and communication records across multiple systems
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and healthcare privacy standards
