- 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant; 2+ years of current ATHENA ONE outpatient EMR experience

Requirements
- National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) from NHA, AMT, or AAMA.
- Prior experience utilizing the CoverMyMeds system.
- Experience submitting prior authorizations for weight loss medications electronically and over the phone.
- 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant (post externship).
- 2+ years of current ATHENA ONE outpatient EMR experience (used in 2024 and 2025).
- 5+ years of overall EMR experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High level of organizational and detail-oriented skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Demonstrate empathy and professionalism via phone, video, email, Slack, text, and patient portal messages.
- Complete a high volume of prior authorizations.
- Perform clinical administrative functions within scope of certification.
- Follow provider instructions for pharmacy refills, lab result reporting, and patient messaging.
