Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tooling, ideally Datadog.
- Extensive experience in on-call and incident response, including leading war rooms and post-incident reviews.
- Deep mastery of SRE fundamentals: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and toil reduction.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and modern distributed/microservice architectures.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
- Excellent communication skills for incident management, leadership briefings, and writing RCAs.
- Collaborative leader capable of influencing without authority across a distributed team.
- Strong comfort with AI tools and their application to reliability engineering.

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve observability strategy across the platform in Datadog, including dashboards, monitors, APM, and log pipelines.
- Define, track, and drive SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for critical services.
- Lead war rooms during major incidents, triage and prioritize issues, and maintain structured communications.
- Conduct end-to-end blameless post-incident reviews (RCAs) to identify systemic fixes and prevent recurrence.
- Set the automation roadmap to reduce manual operational work and architect self-healing systems.
- Leverage and champion AI tools to accelerate debugging, runbook generation, and automation building.
- Set reliability strategy for cloud and third-party stacks (AWS, Netlify, CommerceTools, Auth0, Contentful).
- Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to influence architecture and design decisions.
