Job Details

Languages: Bilingual (B2 - C1 level) in English and Spanish.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in Court proceedings.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in court proceedings.
Direct experience in Removal Defense, Motions, and Adjustment of Status (AOS).
Experience assisting detained clients.
Comprehensive expertise in forms for Asylum, Removal, SIJS, and Bond requests.
Bilingual (B2-C1 level) in English and Spanish.
Excellent legal research skills.
Advanced technical writing ability for drafting formal motions.
Detailed analysis skills for criminal and biographical backgrounds (FBI, FOIA).
Meticulous organizational skills for court files and evidence.

Responsibilities

Manage removal and deportation defense cases from start to finish under attorney supervision.
Ensure strict compliance with all court deadlines.
Maintain precision in exhibit organization and evidence management.
Draft high-quality, legally robust motions addressed to immigration judges.
Facilitate seamless communication with clients, Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) courts, and DHS/OPLA.
Analyze criminal and biographical backgrounds including FBI and FOIA records.
